My Approach

The Full Story

My Unique Approach: Transpersonal Depth Psychotherapy

With over 15 years of experience as a yoga and meditation teacher, including extensive time spent in India with spiritual teachers, my work as a psychotherapist whilst grounded in presence, mindfulness, and compassion, is ultimately rooted in the transpersonal dimension. This perspective invites an exploration of inner landscapes that honours not only the psychological and psychodynamic approaches to therapy but also the spiritual aspects of one’s being.

Drawing on my background in yoga, meditation, and Authentic Relating practices, such as Focussing and Circling, I offer a safe and attuned space for  clients to explore their experiences in a way that encompasses a wider understanding of consciousness and the human journey.

This depth-oriented work is supported by Core Process Psychotherapy, which integrates Eastern contemplative wisdom with Western psychodynamic understanding.

Rather than focusing solely on immediate challenges, our work together has the scope to explore your life as a whole, uncovering the parts of you that may lie in the shadows. It is an invitation to remember who you truly are, to see your struggles as part of a much wider unfolding and to find your unique expression in the world with a renewed sense of wholeness.

I often guide clients to tune into their body’s subtle cues using awareness of their somatic sensations. Together, we bring attention to how emotional patterns live in breath, posture and sensation, allowing space for held experiences to emerge and release. This attuned, body-based process supports integration without re-traumatisation and helps restore a felt sense of safety from within.

This means I offer a space where you are gently supported to explore your inner world at your own pace, while also being encouraged to inquire into the unconscious patterns and formative experiences that may be shaping your life.

Having undertaken many years of dedicated yogic and contemplative practice, mindfulness is not simply a technique I use but a quality I aim to embody. This foundation supports a therapeutic presence that is steady, grounded, and attuned.

Clients often describe me as calm and non-judgemental. At the same time, I am able to gently challenge my clients to reflect on beliefs, behaviours and ways of relating that may no longer serve their growth. I believe that meaningful change arises from this balance between compassionate holding and honest inquiry.

I welcome people from all walks of life who are seeking emotional, psychological or spiritual transformation.
